New HIP Press for Lake City Heat Treating

A new Hot Isostatic Press will soon be in operation at Lake City Heat Treating, expanding their Hot Isostatic Press capabilities for the aerospace and medical industries. With a much larger capacity of 2,000 pounds per load, Lake City will be able to expand load sizes and meet customer turnaround requirements. The new press will be housed in their new 6,000 square foot addition.

New Building Addition for Lake City Heat Treating

Lake City Heat Treating is pleased to announce the construction of a 6,000 square foot addition to its facility in Warsaw, IN.  The company is excited about the expansion, which speaks towards its continued growth in production and expanding its heat treating capabilities.  The new building also allows Lake City Heat Treating the space to bring in new machines and equipment, including a new Hot Isostatic Press in late fall 2018.

Lake City Heat Treating specializes in vacuum heat treating of stainless steels, cobalt and nickel alloys and vacuum heat treatable steels for aerospace, medical and other quality-critical industries, with Cryogenic, Hot Isostatic Pressing and Tempering services also offered.  LCHT offers the heat treating capabilities and capacities to meet customers’ exact requirements and specifications.

New Vacuum Furnace from Lake City Heat Treating

A new vacuum furnace is now available at Lake City Heat Treating Corp., bringing the company’s vacuum heat treating line to seven. This new furnace features “6 BAR” capabilities with a variable speed 200HP cooling blower. The VFS Model HIQ3836-6 furnace can achieve vacuums of 10-6 torr and process temperatures up to 2400°F with a work load size up to 24” x 24” x 36”. With this new furnace, LCHT now offers nitrogen as well as argon quench.  With these new capabilities it allows LCHT to process customer requirements to exact specifications.

New Air Furnace Available at Lake City Heat Treating

Lake City Heat Treating now has a trio of Box Air Furnaces for your Tempering and Age Hardening needs with a maximum temperature of 1250°F.  With a work load area of 50″W x 66″D x 50″H, we can accommodate larger pieces and up to 6′ long bar stock. Weight capacity of 5,000#.

Lake City Heat Treating is now a Boeing Approved Supplier. The approved processes include Lake City Heat Treating’s quality system and heat treat of corrosion resistant steel.

Lake City Heat Treating specializes in vacuum heat treating of stainless steels, cobalt and nickel alloys and vacuum heat treatable steels, with Cryogenic, Tempering, and Hot Isostatic Pressing services offered. LCHT offers the heat treating capabilities and capacities to meet customers’ exact requirements and specifications. LCHT is accredited by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program, Boeing requires Nadcap accreditation as a pre-requisite for approval as a special processor.
